A serving Met officer has been hit with serious charges after allegedly sharing vile messages about sexually abusing children.
PC Duncan Bouette Arrested and Charged
PC Duncan Bouette, from the Metropolitan Police’s North East Command unit, was arrested by the Met’s Central Specialist Crime Unit on Tuesday, 7 October.
Just a day later, on Wednesday, 8 October, Bouette was formally charged with two counts under the Obscene Publications Act.
Disturbing Allegations Surface
- On Monday, 18 November 2024, Bouette allegedly sent a series of messages relating to child sexual abuse.
- Between Thursday, 2 and Friday, 3 October 2025, he reportedly shared messages about extreme, violent sexual acts via a secure messaging app.
Met Police Responds Swiftly
Bouette was suspended from duty immediately after being taken into custody and was remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 October.
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified as the investigation continues.
