A two-year-old girl, Isobel Maxwell, lost her life in a heartbreaking accident at her family home on Christmas Day. The youngster had been playing happily with her new toys indoors when she suddenly vanished from sight. Family members later found her unconscious in the garden pond.

Family’s Desperate Rescue Efforts in Vain

Relatives rushed outside to discover Isobel had fallen into the pond. They immediately pulled her out and performed CPR until paramedics arrived. Despite the frantic efforts of emergency crews, Isobel could not be saved.

Aunt’s Emotional Tribute and Fundraiser Appeal

“It is a struggle to put this into words,” said Isobel’s aunt, Abigail Maxwell, who launched a GoFundMe to help with funeral and counselling costs. “After a tragic accident during our Christmas family gathering, we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Isobel, my brother and sister-in-law’s little girl.”

“She was the happiest, smiliest, most adventurous little girl who lit up everyone’s lives. Our darling angel girl,” Abigail added.

She revealed that Isobel’s parents, Aaron and Tamara, are “absolutely heartbroken” and stressed the devastating blow of losing their beloved daughter. The pond, fenced off temporarily due to renovations after a house move, was an area Isobel would never usually access alone.

Family Plans Memorial and Needs Urgent Support

Abigail said the family want to build a memorial fairy garden to celebrate Isobel’s magical spirit. With Tamara also pregnant at 25 weeks, the family urgently needs financial and emotional support to cover funeral expenses and counselling without added stress.

“Please help where you can and hug your own babies extra tight today and every day,” Abigail urged the community, overwhelmed by the outpouring of support so far.
