A Metropolitan Police officer, currently suspended from duty, has been charged with actual bodily harm and coercive and controlling behaviour. Detective Constable Lindsay Blackman, who is attached to the Specialist Crime Command, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 18.
DC Blackman was charged in June following an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards. The charges relate to allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour and causing actual bodily harm.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “A Met officer will appear at court charged with controlling and coercive behaviour and actual bodily harm. Detective Constable Lindsay Blackman, attached to the Specialist Crime Command, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 18. DC Blackman was charged in June following an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards. He has been suspended from duty.”
