Emergency services have praised the strong cooperation and teamwork between response crews after a successful joint operation last Thursday involving Fire Rescue Units (FRUs) from Orpington, Bromley, and Battersea.

The crews were called to assist in a complex extrication, where one person required specialist rescue following an incident. Thanks to swift coordination between teams, the individual was safely extricated and handed over to the London Ambulance Service (LAS) for treatment.

The person was subsequently taken to hospital, though no further details about the nature of the incident or injuries have been released.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade commended the efforts, stating:

“This was a fantastic example of inter-station collaboration between Orpington, Bromley, and Battersea’s Fire Rescue Units. One person was successfully extricated and transported to hospital by our colleagues in LAS. Excellent teamwork all round!”

The incident highlights the importance of seamless working relationships between fire, ambulance, and other emergency services when responding to challenging rescue scenarios.

Further updates will be provided if more information becomes available about the patient’s condition.
