Detectives investigating the murder of a man whose body was discovered in a flat in Haringey have charged a suspect.

Police were called at around 9:45 pm on Friday, 20 September, following concerns for the welfare of the occupant of a flat on Moselle Avenue, N22. Officers forced entry into the residence, where they found the deceased, who has now been identified as 40-year-old Marvin Dickson. His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

A special post-mortem examination conducted on Sunday, 22 September, determined that Marvin’s cause of death was blunt force trauma.

On Sunday, 22 September, 36-year-old Dante Forrest from Moselle Avenue, N22, was arrested in the Edmonton area on suspicion of murder. He was officially charged with the crime on Wednesday, 25 September, and is due to appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 26 September.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation into Marvin Dickson’s death.
