A brutal wave of knife violence has swept across London over the course of just four days, leaving three men and two teenagers injured in separate stabbing incidents reported in Shoreditch, Southall, Croydon, Forest Gate, and Crystal Palace.

The spate of attacks — which occurred between Saturday, March 15, and Wednesday, March 19 — has reignited concerns over the persistent threat of knife crime in the capital.

Man Suffers ‘Life-Changing’ Injuries in Shoreditch

A man in his 20s sustained stab wounds to the groin in the early hours of Saturday (March 15). The attack happened at 2.20am in Shoreditch. Initially in critical condition, he is now expected to survive, but police say his injuries are “life-changing.”

 

 

Three people — two men and a woman, all in their 30s — were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Teenager Stabbed Outside McDonald’s in Southall

Just hours later, police were called to an incident outside McDonald’s on The Broadway in Southall at around 2pm on Saturday.

A 15-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with stab injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening. Two 14-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. One was charged with wounding with intent, while the other has been released on bail.

Croydon Attack: Man Stabbed and Sprayed in Face

On Tuesday (March 18), a 37-year-old man was stabbed and sprayed in the face with an aerosol can during an altercation at Montague Court, Croydon, around 12:57pm. Emergency services treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital. His injuries are described as non-life-threatening and not life-changing. No arrests have yet been made.

Teenager Stabbed Near Forest Gate Station

Later that same day, at approximately 4.30pm, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed near Wanstead Park Overground Station in Woodford Road, Forest Gate. He was taken to hospital, and a crime scene remains in place as enquiries continue. No suspects have been identified or arrested.

Crystal Palace Petrol Station Stabbing

On Wednesday (March 19), a man in his 50s was stabbed in the chest at a Shell petrol station on Crystal Palace Parade just before 3pm. He was taken to hospital for treatment, and the petrol station forecourt was cordoned off by emergency services. Police have not confirmed any arrests.

These incidents underscore the ongoing challenge faced by police and communities in tackling knife-related violence across the capital. The Metropolitan Police continues to appeal for witnesses and information in connection with the investigations.
