police/" title="Kent Police" rel="nofollow">Kent Police was called to a report of people fighting in Folkestone Road at 1.25am on Monday 4 September 2023.

Officers attended along with South East Coast ambulance-service/" title="Ambulance Service" rel="nofollow">Ambulance Service and an air ambulance flew a man to a London hospital with an injury consistent with a stab wound. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Following enquiries by local officers and East Kent CID, two teenage boys were arrested in relation to the incident later the same day.

A 17-year-old boy from the Dover area has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, affray and threatening a person with a knife.

A 16-year-old boy, also from the Dover area, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and affray.

Both suspects are due to appear before Folkestone MagistratesCourt on Tuesday 5 September.
