Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a BMW and a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the A24 near Pollards Hill roundabout in Southwater.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1:30pm on Sunday, April 27. The incident left a 43-year-old woman, a pillion passenger on the motorcycle, with serious injuries. She was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The rider of the Harley Davidson sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the BMW was uninjured, Sussex Police confirmed.

Investigation Underway

Officers from the Sussex Roads Policing Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are urging anyone who witnessed the crash — or who may have relevant dashcam footage — to come forward.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said:

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle being driven prior to the incident. Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could assist our investigation.”
