Emergency Services Respond to Person Under Train at Green Park Underground Station
A major emergency response is underway at Green Park Underground Station in central London following reports that a person has been struck by a train on the northbound Piccadilly line.
The incident occurred shortly after 11:30am on Sunday morning, with Transport for London (TfL), British Transport Police, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade all on the scene.
The exact platform where the incident occurred is yet to be confirmed, but initial reports indicate that the northbound track is affected. Services on the Piccadilly line are currently suspended between Hyde Park Corner and King’s Cross St Pancras while emergency services work to resolve the situation.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesperson said:
“We were called to Green Park station on Sunday 22 June following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Officers are currently on scene alongside paramedics and station staff. Updates will follow once further details are confirmed.”
Passengers have been evacuated from the station, and entry is currently restricted while crews attend to the scene.
