Police are appealing for information after two masked suspects attempted to break into a home in the village of Great Warley, near Brentwood, late on Friday night.
The attempted burglary took place just before midnight on April 11, in the area of Warley Road and Beredens Lane. According to Essex Police, the homeowner reported seeing two masked individuals trying to gain entry to the property.
Thankfully, the suspects failed to enter the home, and no one was injured during the incident.
Officers are working to determine whether one of the suspects may have been armed. A spokesperson for Essex Police confirmed that no arrests have been made at this stage, but the investigation is progressing along “a number of targeted lines of enquiry.”
The police are urging residents who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward. In particular, officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Warley Road and Beredens Lane area between 10pm and midnight, or who has relevant CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage.
