A murder investigation is underway after a man in his 30s died from stab wounds following a disturbance in Augustine Road late last night.

Kent Police were called at 10.21pm on Tuesday (August 12) to reports of a group of men and a woman involved in an altercation outside a property. The victim was taken to a local hospital but died while receiving treatment.

A 33-year-old man from Gravesend has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
Large Police Presence
Witnesses reported “dozens” of officers and forensic teams combing the street and nearby alleyways. Cordons were put in place overnight, with a nearby alleyway still sealed off this morning as detectives continued their investigation.

One neighbour described the scene as “like something from a TV crime show,” with police conducting door-to-door enquiries and blocking access to parts of the street.
