Officer convicted of rape in Antigua dismissed
A police officer who was convicted of rape following a trial in the High Court of Antigua and Barbuda, has been dismissed without notice. The Special Case Hearing of Police Constable Lee Martin-Cramp, attached to Merton borough, concluded on Thursday afternoon. PC Martin-Cramp was not in attendance. The panel heard allegations that PC Martin-Cramp’s conduct amounted to a breach of the standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct and honesty and integrity. The allegations were found as proven and PC Martin-Cramp was dismissed without notice. PC Martin-Cramp was found guilty of one count of rape after a trial in Antigua which concluded on 23 May. He is due to be sentenced in Antigua on Thursday, 11 July.
