Josh Greally, a 28-year-old resident of Chesterfield, has pleaded guilty to a public order offence after throwing items at Reform UK leader Nigel Farage during a campaign event on July 11.

The incident occurred in Barnsley town centre, where Mr Farage was campaigning on the top deck of his battle bus. Greally allegedly threw what appeared to be a coffee cup and another object at the politician. Fortunately, neither of the objects hit Mr Farage.
Greally’s arrest followed the incident, and he appeared before Barnsley Magistrates Court for a brief hearing. He admitted to the offence and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 28.
