Five teenage boys have been charged with robbery following the theft of around 50 mobile phones from a shop in Brent Cross Shopping Centre.

Incident Details

Police were called at approximately 2:35 PM on Sunday, 5 January, after reports that a group of suspects had entered a shop and stolen a significant number of mobile phones. Officers swiftly attended the scene and successfully recovered the majority of the stolen items.

Charges and Court Appearance

The following individuals have been charged with robbery:

  • Mycah Omo-Idahosa, 18, of Lothian Road, Lambeth, is set to appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today.
  • Two 15-year-old boys from Lambeth, a 14-year-old boy from Croydon, and a 16-year-old boy from Cambridge, also charged with robbery, will appear at the same court.

Further Investigation

Another 15-year-old boy who was arrested has been bailed while investigations continue.

The Metropolitan Police commended the rapid response of officers, which led to the arrests and recovery of the stolen property. Further updates on the case will follow as the investigation progresses.
