Two suspects have been charged following a knife-point robbery in Folkestone, where a victim was threatened, robbed, and had money transferred out of their bank account.

The incident took place between 5:30pm and 6:30pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025, on Beachborough Road.

Details of the Robbery

According to police reports:

  • A man was approached by the occupants of a white car.
  • He was threatened at knifepoint before having his mobile phone stolen.
  • The suspects then used his phone to transfer money out of his bank account.
  • The victim and suspects are believed to know each other.

Arrests and Charges

On Monday, February 3, officers made two arrests in connection with the robbery.

The suspects have been identified as:

  • A 17-year-old boy from Hythe.
  • Georgie Barrow, 18, of Pavilion Road, Folkestone.

Both have been charged with:
Robbery
Possession of a bladed article in a public place

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 5.
