Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 30s was stabbed in a serious assault in Enfield, prompting a swift arrest and a continuing investigation by detectives.
Emergency services were called to Lawson Road, EN3, at around 4:37pm on Sunday, 9 March, following reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived quickly at the scene alongside London Ambulance Service crews.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was rushed to hospital, where his condition has now been assessed as non-life-threatening.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Investigation Underway
Officers from North Area Local Investigations are continuing their enquiries and are urging any witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Mike Herrick, who is leading the investigation, said:
“This was a horrific attack in broad daylight, which we know has shocked the local community in Enfield. Officers were quickly on the scene and were able to immediately arrest a man who remains in custody.
“Residents and visitors to the area will have noticed an increased police presence while this investigation remains ongoing. I would encourage anyone within the community who has any concerns to speak to our officers who will be in the area over the coming days.”
