A man has been arrested following a major emergency response to reports of a concern for welfare in Baguley Crescent this afternoon.
Shortly before 3pm on Saturday, 26 April, emergency services were called to the scene after receiving reports of a man in distress.
Paramedics treated a man at the location before he was taken to hospital for further treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a man in his 20s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of section 18 assault — grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody where he is being questioned.
A police spokesperson said:
We were called shortly before 3pm today to reports of concern for the welfare of a man on Baguley Crescent. Emergency services attended, and a man was taken to hospital. A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and remains in custody.”
An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
