A section of Dalston Lane (E8) has been closed in both directions at the junction with Graham Road following a serious police incident in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The incident, shortly before 2am, triggered a significant emergency response. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were seen in the area, and road closures remain in place as of Thursday morning.
Public transport has also been affected, with multiple London bus routes diverted due to the closure. The impacted routes include:
30, 38, 56, 242, 277, N38, N242, and N277.
Transport for London (TfL) has advised commuters to seek alternative routes and to expect delays in the Dalston and Hackney areas while the investigation continues.
A TfL spokesperson said: “Due to a police incident, Dalston Lane is currently closed in both directions at Graham Road. Buses are being diverted. Please allow extra time for your journey.”
