A 22-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Newham, East London.
Mohammed Abdullah Khan, of Upton Lane, E7, has been charged with:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
In addition, Mohammed Qasim Khan , aged 37, of Sprowston Road, E7, has been charged with:
Both men are scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, 3 May.
Incident Details
The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday, 29 April, when police were called at 2.42pm to reports of an altercation at Dunbar Road, Newham.
On arrival, officers discovered:
All three were treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being transported to hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are not considered life-threatening or life-changing.
Both Mohammed Abdullah Khan and Mohammed Qasim Khan were arrested shortly after the shooting and remain in custody.
