Emergency Services Respond to Person on Library Roof in Bexleyheath

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a major incident in Bexleyheath, where a person is reportedly threatening to jump from the roof of a building on Townley Road.

The incident is unfolding on the roof of  the Bexleyheath Library. The individual is experiencing a mental health crisis, prompting a rapid response from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service (LAS).


 Emergency Response Underway

Officers are currently working to engage with the individual and bring the situation to a safe resolution. LAS personnel are also on standby to provide immediate medical support if required.

The area around Townley Road has been cordoned off while police negotiators and responders attend the scene. Members of the public are urged to avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work safely and without obstruction.
