Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters tackled a major house fire on Hertford Road, Enfield, this afternoon.
The blaze broke out at around 3.21pm on Sunday, with half of the first floor and the entire loft of a semi-detached house engulfed in flames.

London Fire Brigade confirmed that one of its 32-metre turntable ladders was deployed as a water tower to attack the fire from above.
There are currently no reports of injuries.
Road Closure
Hertford Road remains closed between Putney Road and Bullsmoor Lane, with drivers urged to avoid the area.
The Brigade’s control officers took the first of 12 emergency calls at 3.21pm, mobilising crews from Enfield, Chingford, Edmonton, Tottenham and nearby stations. The fire was brought under control by 5.20pm.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
