A road close to england/brentford/”>Brentford rail station was closed this afternoon following a collision that involved a police vehicle, causing major local disruption. Early eyewitness posts suggest one car ended up on top of a police car near Boston Manor Road/Brentford Library, with debris across the carriageway. Emergency services are at the scene and a Cordoncordon is in place.

Residents reported traffic gridlock around Windmill Road and Brentford High Street, with some bus users saying services were diverting away from the station area.

Injuries

Local commenters described “walking wounded” and said a child was assessed at the scene; no serious injuries have been officially confirmed. We’ve asked the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service for a statement and will update as soon as details are released.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 12.07pm today (12 September) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Boston Manor Road and Windmill Road, Brentford.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and paramedics from our hazardous area response team (HART).

“Our first paramedic arrived on scene in four minutes.

“We treated four adults and one child. We took three patients to hospital and discharged one person at the scene.”

 

A spokesman for the Met Police said:“Police were called at 12.05hrs on Friday, 12 September to a collision between a vehicle and a police car on Boston Manor Road, Brentford.

“The London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service assisted at the scene, where the drivers and passengers of both cars were deemed not to have life-threatening or life-changing injuries. No arrests have been made.

“If you have any information that could help police, please contact 101 quoting CAD 2914/12SEP.”
