Rescue crews rushed to assist an EasyJet flight after it was grounded at england/manchester/”>Manchester Airport due to a reported collision on Saturday morning.

The flight, designated EZY 2029 and bound for Lanzarote, was preparing for departure from Terminal 1 when the incident occurred. Witnesses reported that the front wheels of the Airbus A3 traffic20 made contact with an aircraft tug, a vehicle typically used to move planes on the ground.

Passengers scheduled to depart at 7am disembarked and were transferred to another aircraft while safety checks were conducted. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the incident did not disrupt or delay other flights, although one gate was closed.

An EasyJet spokesperson stated, “Flight EZY2029 from Manchester to Lanzarote this morning has been delayed departing after the tug came into contact with the aircraft during pushback from the terminal.

Emergency services responded as a precautionary measure. The spokesperson added, “Passengers disembarked and returned to the terminal where we are providing refreshments while we arrange for an alternative aircraft to operate the flight this afternoon. Safety is our highest priority, and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delay.”
