Detectives have named the victim of a fatal shooting in Sydenham and are issuing a fresh appeal for witnesses and information. Curtis Green, 30, was tragically killed in a triple shooting on Sunday, 10 November, on Wells Park Road, SE26.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 10:10 am, where they found Curtis with gunshot injuries. Despite efforts from officers and ambulance crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Curtis’s family, being supported by specialist officers, described him as a “happy, excited, and beautiful” individual, adding, “He was an entrepreneur, the owner of a clothing brand and local fitness company. He was also a father-to-be, with a child due in five months.”
Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend, leading the investigation, urged anyone with information to come forward. “Three people were shot, and sadly one has lost their life,” Townsend said. “We have been working tirelessly to establish the circumstances. In particular, I would like to hear from anyone who attended a party on Hensford Gardens, SE26, where Curtis was present before the incident. If you were at the party or have any information, please do not hesitate to contact us.”
Two others were injured in the shooting. A woman sustained gunshot wounds to her legs and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A third person later sought medical attention, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this stage, no arrests have been made, and investigations continue.
