UK Weather Alert: Amber Heat Health Warning Issued as Capital Hits 34°C

The UK is set to swelter under an intense heatwave this week, with temperatures reaching 34°C on Tuesday, July 1, triggering an amber health warning across the capital and much of England.

The UK Health Security Agency and Met Office have issued an amber heat health alert effective until 9am on Wednesday, July 2, warning of “very hot” conditions that could pose risks to vulnerable individuals and strain public services.

While Tuesday will mark the peak of the heat, a slow cooling trend is expected through the rest of the week, with rain forecast by Saturday bringing relief to scorched streets and parks.
