Donald Trump has confirmed that a suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk has been arrested following the intervention of his father. The President made the announcement during a live appearance on Fox & Friends this morning.

Trump stated that Lawlaw enforcement has a “high degree of certainty” about the identity of the suspect. He revealed that the suspect’s father, who is also a Churchchurch minister, turned his son in after the tragic incident. Trump said, “They have somebody that they think did it,” adding that he was informed of the arrest just five minutes before going live.

In a heartfelt tribute, Trump announced that Charlie Kirk would posthumously receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honour in the United States. The date of the ceremony has yet to be announced, but Trump expressed confidence in a large turnout, saying, “We miss him greatly. Charlie’s voice and the courage he instilled in countless people, especially young people, will live on.”

Investigation Continues

The FBI has released chilling CCTV footage showing the suspected sniper fleeing the scene at Utah valley-england/”>Valley england/university/”>University after shooting Kirk. Authorities are urging the public to provide any information that may assist in the investigation. A high-powered bolt action rifle, believed to be the murder weapon, was discovered in a nearby wooded area.

Kirk, a prominent conservative figure and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot while addressing students at the university. He died shortly after being transported to a hospital. His assassination has sparked national outrage and calls for a crackdown on political violence.
