A Croydon resident has been charged with making a bomb hoax after allegedly leaving a suspicious box at the One Croydon high-rise, also known as the 50p Building.
Guillermo Gomez, 45, of Cherry Orchard Road, is accused of placing a box containing various items at the well-known Croydon landmark with the intent to cause fear that it might explode or ignite.

Gomez appeared in custody at Croydon Crown Court on Monday, November 18, where the case was heard by His Honour Judge Antony Dunne. The judge adjourned the case to allow for further proceedings on a later date.
