Emergency services were called to a serious incident along Carshalton Road near the junction with Woodmansterne Lane and Croydon Road this evening. The scene was heavily attended by six police cars, four fire engines, and four ambulances, following reports of a teenager trapped under a fallen tree.
The incident caused significant road closures and traffic disruption in the area as police worked to secure the scene. Witnesses reported seeing distressed individuals, including several young girls, running from the direction of The Pastures, a nearby traveller site.
Police have cordoned off the area, and emergency crews are continuing efforts to safely extricate the teen from beneath the tree. Local residents described the scene as chaotic, with police redirecting traffic and onlookers gathering nearby. Specialist “HART” Team Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service have also been called to the scene
