In a targeted attack believed to be part of a turf war, a sawn-off shotgun was fired into a crowd of mourners gathered outside the church. The victims, including four women and two girls, were struck by gunfire as they turned to witness doves being released from the church steps.

The consequences of this callous act were severe. One of the girls was left with a metal pellet embedded in a muscle close to her heart, promising lifelong implications. Another woman sustained serious injuries affecting her hearing and balance. While the physical wounds of the other victims have healed, the psychological trauma lingers.

The Metropolitan Police launched an extensive investigation following the incident. Viewing approximately 2,000 hours of CCTV footage, detectives pieced together the events leading up to and following the shooting. The vehicle involved was tracked through various surveillance cameras, eventually leading to vital evidence.

Tyrell Lacroix, Jashy Perch, and Jordan Walter were identified as key perpetrators in the planning and execution of the attack. It was revealed that planning for the shooting began months in advance, with Lacroix, a member of a north London gang, coordinating the logistics. Alrico Nelson-Martin supplied the sawn-off shotgun used in the assault.

Days before the shooting, Lacroix and Walters conducted a reconnaissance of the church area, preparing for the attack. On the day of the incident, they were joined by Perch, who received the firearm from Martin at his home in Watford. The trio then travelled to Euston, where they carried out the premeditated assault.

Detective Inspector Darren Jones, from the Specialist Crime Trident Investigation team, condemned the perpetrators’ actions, stating, “These dangerous men brought unimaginable fear and horror to the streets of London. I am pleased our investigation has resulted in them being convicted.”

The convicted men – Tyrell Lacroix, Jashy Perch, Jordan Walter, and Alrico Nelson-Martin – will be sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, April 12. Efforts are ongoing to identify a fourth individual who was present in the vehicle during the shooting.
