A man in his 30s has tragically died following a stabbing incident in Willesden Green early this morning (Saturday, December 28, 2024). The victim succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital near Edgware Road, where emergency services were unable to save him.

Incident Details

Police were called to Linacre Road, NW2 at around 4:15 am to reports of a stabbing. Paramedics and the London Air Ambulance attended the scene, but despite their efforts, the victim passed away as he was being transported to the hospital.

Forensic Investigation

Fresh photographs from the scene on Edgware Road, where the man was pronounced dead, show a forensic tent and officers conducting investigations. The road has been closed in both directions between Church Street and Boscobel Street, with multiple bus routes, including 6, 16, and 98, diverted.

Additionally, the A407 High Road in Willesden Green remains closed in both directions, causing significant disruption to local traffic.

Ongoing Investigation

While formal identification has not yet been completed, officers are confident the victim was a male in his 30s. Police are working to notify his next of kin, who will be supported by specialist officers.

No arrests have been made, and the Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation.

Public Reassurance

In a statement, Willesden Green MPS reassured the public that there is “no ongoing risk” to the community following the incident. Increased patrols are expected in the area to provide additional reassurance.
