A man in his 40s has been hospitalised following a suspected acid attack at a property in Laud Street, Croydon, on Wednesday night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 10:06 PM on February 19, after the London Ambulance Service (LAS) reported the incident to the Metropolitan Police.

The victim was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital, where he remains. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, but he is expected to undergo further medical treatment.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed: “A man in his 40s was attacked with what appeared to be a corrosive substance.
