Hackney, London — A man has been taken to hospital after suffering a stab wound during a serious assault in London Fields on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the scene at London Fields, E8, at 16:02hrs on Sunday, 23 February, following reports of an assault. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a stab wound to his hand.

The victim was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital, where his condition is currently being assessed. No further details about his injuries have been released at this time.

A police spokesperson confirmed that an investigation is underway, with officers remaining in the area to carry out enquiries and reassure the local community.
