Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a broken jaw in an alleged assault involving a beer bottle in Paddock Wood.
The incident occurred on Maidstone Road, near the town’s fire station, at approximately 11 PM on Monday, November 25, 2024. Emergency services attended the scene, and the victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which included a broken jaw.
Suspect Arrested
Nathan Murphy, 25, of no fixed address, was arrested two days later, on Wednesday, November 27, in connection with the incident. He has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Mr. Murphy appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 28, and is currently remanded in custody, awaiting a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Appeal for Information
Kent Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant footage from CCTV or doorbell cameras to come forward. A spokesperson for Kent Police said:
