Holborn Underground Station was temporarily closed this morning following a serious incident involving a person struck by a train on the eastbound Central Line platform.
Emergency services, including London Fire Brigade, British Transport Police, and London Ambulance Service, were called to the scene at around 10:00am after receiving reports of a person under a train at Holborn Station on Kingsway.
The incident led to the closure of the station and disruption to bus routes operating in the area. According to Transport for London (TfL) one lane of Kingsway was closed southbound due to the emergency response, causing significant delays. Bus services 59, 188, and 243 were temporarily diverted.

Station Reopened
By 11:05am, Holborn Station had reopened, and road closures were lifted. TfL confirmed the resumption of services via social media platform X (formerly Twitter), but delays in the area persisted into the late morning.
