A person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a height in Penge, southeast London.

Emergency services were called to Oakfield Road shortly before 6pm on Tuesday, April 15, following reports of an individual who had fallen.

Police officers, paramedics, and London’s Air Ambulance were all dispatched to the scene.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 5.59pm on Tuesday 15 April to reports of a person fallen from height on Oakfield Road, Penge.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and a command support vehicle.

“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre by road.”

The patient’s condition remains unknown at this time. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for further information regarding the circumstances of the incident.

Residents reported a heavy emergency presence in the area, with parts of Oakfield Road temporarily cordoned off while medics worked.
