A police investigation is underway after two men were stabbed in Romford in separate but linked incidents on Bank Holiday Monday.
Emergency services were first called at approximately 12:48pm to Coltsfoot Path, Romford, after reports from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) of a man suffering from stab wounds.
A 20-year-old man was rushed to hospital. Police have confirmed that his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
Shortly after, police were alerted to a second victim found nearby in Lavender Close, Romford. The 19-year-old man was also taken to hospital, with injuries similarly assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
Detectives believe both incidents are connected and are currently treating them as having taken place inside an address on Briar Road, Romford.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and we are keeping an open mind around the circumstances. We are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact us.”
