Police have launched an appeal for information following a series of indecent exposure incidents in Nottingham’s Arboretum area over recent weeks.
Officers are urging members of the public to help identify the suspect, described as a man in his 40s to 50s, with blonde hair, a tall and skinny build, and a scruffy appearance.
Incidents in the Arboretum Area
The suspect has reportedly exposed himself to women walking along North Sherwood Street, Addison Street, and Waverley Street.
While the suspect has not attempted to approach the victims, police say his behavior has caused significant alarm.
Police Urge Public to Assist
Sergeant Karl Browne, from the City Central Neighbourhood Policing Team, stated:
“Everyone has a right to feel safe when going about their daily business. We will not tolerate this behavior, and we are actively making inquiries to find this man.”
“If you see him, please ring 999 immediately. Likewise, if you have any information that could assist us in identifying the offender, call us on 101, quoting reference **25112104**.”*
Anonymous tips can also be provided via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Recent Flashing Case Ends in Conviction
The appeal comes as police successfully prosecuted another man for separate indecent exposure incidents.
Michale Perlikowski, 32, of Millers Court, Radford, was arrested and convicted after exposing himself four times in public across Nottingham in November 2024.
On February 21, 2025, Perlikowski pleaded guilty to four counts of exposure at Nottingham Crown Court and was sentenced to a six-month community order, requiring him to attend a rehabilitation programme. He was also issued a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order to restrict his behavior.
PC Jordan Hinds, who led the investigation, said:
“Indecent exposure is a serious offence, and we will always thoroughly investigate reports with a view to taking action against offenders. Perlikowski’s behavior was utterly inexcusable, and I am pleased he has now been dealt with by the courts.”
Ongoing Investigation
Police are continuing their efforts to locate the suspect involved in the latest incidents and urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
