kent-england/”>Kent Police are investigating a report of racial abuse that occurred in Margate.

The incident took place on Northdown Road at approximately 5pm on Saturday, 6 September. Witnesses reported that a man was shouting racist abuse at members of the public.

Officers arrived at the scene within 25 minutes of the initial report and arrested a 43-year-old man from the local area on suspicion of assault and harassment. He has since been bailed pending further investigation.

The victim left the scene before police arrived, but officers are eager to locate them to ensure their welfare and advance their inquiries.
