A 62-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in a serious collision on Northolt Road near South Harrow station earlier this afternoon.
The incident occurred around 11:52am and has led to the closure of Northolt Road in both directions, causing significant disruption in the area.
Emergency services responded swiftly, with members of the public reporting the presence of at least five police vehicles at the scene. Witnesses also described seeing the injured woman lying on the ground as paramedics treated her.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
“Police were called at 11:52hrs on Monday, 21 April to Northolt Road, Harrow following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. The pedestrian, a 62-year-old woman, has been taken to hospital. We await an update on her condition.”
The incident has forced the temporary diversion of several bus routes, including the 140, 114, and 258. Transport for London has urged commuters to check for updates and seek alternative routes where possible.
Northolt Road remains cordoned off at the junction with Parkfield Road while investigations continue at the scene.
