A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a knife attack on Biggin Street, Dover, on the evening of Friday, January 17, 2025.

Incident Details

The victim, a woman in her 50s, was reportedly attacked at around 10:10 pm. Security staff from a nearby pub intervened, restraining the suspect until police arrived. Officers quickly responded, arresting the woman at the scene and taking her into custody.

The victim sustained injuries to her back and was treated in hospital. She has since been discharged. Police confirmed the suspect and victim were not known to each other.

Charges and Court Appearance

On Saturday, January 18, Natasza Zakrzewska, aged 47, of Salisbury Road, Dover, was charged with:

  • Attempted murder
  • Threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place

Ms. Zakrzewska has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at an initial hearing at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 20.
