A man has been rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds following a serious incident at Brunel University’s campus in Uxbridge on Tuesday evening (May 21).

Emergency Services Mobilised

The London Ambulance Service confirmed it was called to Topping Lane at 5:49pm, following reports of a stabbing. In response, they dispatched:

A spokesperson said the man was treated at the scene for multiple wounds before being taken to a major trauma centre by road.

“We treated a patient for several wounds and took him by road to a major trauma centre,” said the ambulance service.

 Investigation Underway

The Metropolitan Police and Brunel University security are jointly investigating the stabbing. No arrests have yet been confirmed, and the condition of the victim remains unverified at this stage.

In a public statement, the university said:

“We are aware of an incident on campus this evening. Our on-site Security Team and staff are working closely with the police as they investigate the situation.”

Increased Patrols and Student Support

Brunel University has pledged to increase overnight security patrols and provide mental health and welfare support to students. A dedicated space has been made available in Room 005 of the Lecture Centre for anyone seeking assistance.

“For reassurance, our Security Team will increase patrols throughout the night. Staff are available to provide support for any students who may need it,” the university added on social media.

Appeal for Information

As of this morning, no arrests have been announced. Police are expected to release further updates and may appeal for witnesses. Students or members of the public with any information are urged to contact the Metropolitan Police on 101.
