Celebrations Begin After Historic Win Over Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur will celebrate their Europa League triumph with an open-top bus parade through north London on Friday, 23 May.

Spurs secured their first trophy since 2008 with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Bilbao on Wednesday night. The decisive goal came from forward Brennan Johnson in the first half, sparking jubilation among supporters.

The victory marks Spurs’ first European silverware since 1984, and fans are being invited to join the team for a victory parade and trophy presentation.

Victory Parade Route and Timings

The open-top bus parade is scheduled to begin at 5.30pm at The Broadway in Fore Street, Edmonton Green. The route is as follows:

A trophy presentation stage will be set up on Paxton Terrace, where players and coaching staff will address fans.

The entire event is expected to last 60 to 90 minutes.

Major Travel Disruption Expected

Significant road closures will be in effect from 11am on Friday, with Fore Street south of Edmonton Green Bus Station and High Road north of Bruce Grove among the affected areas.

A Tottenham Hotspur spokesperson said:

“The club is delighted to announce plans for an open-top bus victory parade on Friday, May 23, following last night’s UEFA Europa League Final success in Bilbao.

The time and date have been agreed following close consultation with Haringey and Enfield councils, emergency services, and transport partners, to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all.”

Local Reaction and Anticipation

Thousands of fans are expected to line the streets as Tottenham players including Heung-Min Son, Brennan Johnson, and Micky van de Ven join manager Ange Postecoglou in celebrating the club’s long-awaited success.

The atmosphere is expected to be electric as supporters gather outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the trophy presentation.
