Police and volunteers are conducting an extensive search for 38-year-old Rebecca Holdham, known as Becky, who has been reported missing from her home in england/hassocks/”>Hassocks, West Sussex.
Last Seen on 7 September
Rebecca was last seen around 10 am on Sunday, 7 September, leaving an address on the Ockley park/”>park-estate/”>Park estate. Since then, she has not been seen or heard from, raising significant concerns for her welfare.
Community Involvement
Over the past two nights, local residents have joined the search efforts, combing the countryside and woodland areas surrounding The Villagethe village. Friends have expressed their distress, stating they are “worried sick” and are planning to continue their search today.
Search Efforts Intensified
Drones, police dogs, and a helicopter have been deployed as part of the ongoing operation to locate Rebecca. Detective Inspector Chris May from the West Sussex Missing Persons Team commented:
“We are growing increasingly concerned for Rebecca’s welfare, and are urging anyone who has seen or heard from her since Sunday morning to get in touch.”
He added that extensive enquiries are being conducted, including physical searches, house-to-house visits, and checks of CCTV and doorbell cameras in the area. Consequently, residents can expect an increased police presence while these efforts continue.
Physical Description
Rebecca is described as 5ft 4in tall, with shoulder-length brown hair and a tattoo on her ankle. It remains unclear what clothing she was wearing at the time she went missing.
Police Appeal
Police believe she left her home on foot and have noted that she has links to Burgess Hill, Horsham, Worthingworthing, Devon, and Dorset. Anyone who sees Rebecca or has any information regarding her whereabouts is urged to call 999 immediately, quoting serial 1359 of 07/09.
