Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 60s was assaulted inside a building on Lyndon Road in Belvedere, leaving him with injuries to his face and torso.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, 31 July 2025, and prompted a joint emergency response from Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service. The victim was taken to hospital, where his injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening and non-life-changing. He has since been discharged.

One Arrest Made

A man in his 40s was arrested on Wednesday, 6 August on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH) and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police Seek Second Man

Detectives are also seeking to identify and speak with another man, believed to be in his 50s, who may have information about the incident or have been involved.

A Met Police spokesperson said:
“On Thursday, 31 July, officers and the London Ambulance Service responded to reports of an assault at an address in Lyndon Road, Belvedere.
A man aged in his 60s had sustained injuries to the face and torso and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police are keen to speak with another man, aged in his 50s, in connection with the incident.”

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area around Lyndon Road on 31 July to come forward.
