Overnight maintenance works at the Dartford Crossing are set to continue throughout the final weekend of October, with closures impacting both the anticlockwise and northbound tunnels. The work, scheduled to end on Monday, October 29, will involve diversions via National Highways roads for drivers during the affected hours.

The Dartford Crossing, a critical road link across the River Thames connecting Dartford in Kent with Thurrock in Essex via the A282, is a heavily trafficked route and will be subject to the following closures:

  • Friday, October 26 – Saturday, October 27: The A282 Anticlockwise Jct 1A entry slip road will close, as well as the A282 Anticlockwise stretch from Jct 1A to M25 Anticlockwise Jct 31. The West Tunnel will be closed from 11 pm to 6 am for grillage works, with diversions in place.
  • Saturday, October 27 – Sunday, October 28: The A282 Northbound Dartford Crossing West Tunnel will close from 10 pm to 5 am for maintenance, with traffic redirected via alternative National Highways routes.
  • Sunday, October 28 – Monday, October 29: The A282 Northbound Dartford Crossing East Tunnel will be closed from 10 pm to 5 am for maintenance, with diversions in effect.

While accurate at the time of publication, schedules may be subject to change, especially in adverse weather conditions. Motorists are advised to check for real-time updates before travelling.
