Firefighters from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service rushed to the aid of their fellow responders from Dorset on Boxing Day, as they battled a massive timber garage fire in Bickton Lane, Bickton. The incident unfolded shortly before 9 pm, and it required a collaborative effort to bring the blaze under control.
On-call crews from Fordingbridge and Ringwood, alongside firefighters from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, united their efforts to combat the inferno, which had engulfed a substantial structure along with three vehicles.
Equipped with breathing apparatus sets, the dedicated firefighters waged a relentless battle against the blaze, deploying hoses and specialized foam jets to suppress the flames.
Their hard-fought efforts eventually paid off, with the stop message being received around 11 pm. However, one crew remained on-site the following morning, conducting a thorough reinspection to ensure all hotspots were completely extinguished.
