A man has been arrested after an assault in Knightsbridge earlier today, police have confirmed.

Officers were called at 14:11hrs on Thursday, 13 February, to Rutland Gardens following reports of a man being assaulted.

Victim Taken to Hospital

The victim suffered an injury to his finger and was taken to hospital for treatment. However, police confirmed that he did not receive any stab wounds.

Suspect in Custody

Officers arrived within minutes and arrested a man on suspicion of:

  • Possession of an offensive weapon
  • Grievous bodily harm (GBH)

The suspect remains in custody, and investigations are ongoing.

Footage Under Review

As part of their inquiries, police are also reviewing footage that appears to show a man burning a book shortly before the assault.
