A South Carolina woman has been arrested after allegedly having a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old boy, with her three children in the car at the time.
Aladrian Chandler Faces Serious Charges
Aladrian Chandler, 26, was charged with second-degree criminal sexual misconduct with a minor following the incident last month in Lake City, South Carolina. She was booked into Florence County Detention Center on December 8.
Chandler admitted to a “sexual encounter” with the boy but denied having intercourse. She claimed she believed the teen was older — a defence South Carolina law dismisses outright.
How Did It Start?
The 14-year-old told police he first met Chandler while she was delivering food. They exchanged phone numbers on November 16 and soon began texting. Just two days later, Chandler reported a stolen gun from her car. Police launched an investigation.
During questioning, Chandler claimed the boy took the gun from her vehicle. She also said the sexual incident happened after she visited a friend to discuss her communication with the minor.
Chandler Still Held Without Bail
Chandler’s bond hearing was set for December 8, but jail records show she remains in custody without bail. If found guilty, she won’t be eligible for parole until serving at least two years of her sentence.
A Growing Pattern of Adult-Minor Abuse in the US
- In Florida, a 22-year-old female PE teacher faces charges for sending explicit photos and texts to a 13-year-old boy.
- In Missouri, a 31-year-old middle school teacher got 10 years for abusing students and paying boys for sex with drugs and cash.
- In September, Alley Bardfield, 34, a former substitute teacher and mother of three, was jailed for 10 years after luring a sixth-grade boy for “play dates” before sexually abusing him in her family home.
