Crash Sparks Chaos on Tottenham High Road
Just after 3pm on Thursday, a van collided with a bus near Philip Lane on Tottenham High Road. The crash forced authorities to shut the road southbound towards Seven Sisters and Stamford Hill.
Major Bus Routes Disrupted
The accident halted services for buses 76, 149, 243, 259, 279, 318, 349, 476, and W4. All were diverted around the scene via Philip Lane and Town Hall Approach Road, causing headaches for commuters.
Road Reopened After Hours of Delays
The road closure began at 3.10pm and saw multiple updates throughout the afternoon. The road was fully cleared by 6.50pm, briefly reopened, then reinstated for vehicle recovery at 5.40pm before finally reopening at 6.15pm.
“The road is closed at Philip Lane southbound due to a road traffic collision,” officials confirmed.
Commuters are urged to check bus routes before travelling as delays may still affect the area.
