Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) responded to a car fire on the M25 near Sevenoaks on Sunday afternoon. The incident, reported at 12:05 pm, involved a vehicle catching fire following a crash.

Fire crews arrived promptly with two fire engines and used high-pressure hose reel jets to bring the flames under control. Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, also utilized thermal imaging cameras and tools such as axes and crowbars to safely access and assess the vehicle.

No Injuries Reported

There were no injuries reported in connection with the fire, and traffic was temporarily disrupted while emergency services worked at the scene.

An investigation determined that the fire was accidental, with no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

The fire caused temporary delays on the M25 as crews worked to secure the area and extinguish the flames. Motorists were advised to remain cautious and follow diversion routes until the road was fully cleared.
